Davidoff range guide: light, slim and menthol variants explained

Davidoff is typically stocked in Australia in the lighter and slimmer parts of the range, alongside menthol options. Choosing between them comes down to three questions: how much body you want, what format you smoke, and whether you want flavour.
| Check | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Choice | What changes |
| Tier (lighter to fuller) | Body and blend character |
| Format (regular to super slim) | Draw, burn rate and feel |
| Menthol or capsule | Cooling flavour, either blended or pressed from a bead |
| Number in the range | Variant identity, not a risk rating |
A method that avoids wasted money
Match the number you currently smoke, then choose format, then flavour. Buy a single pack to test the change — cartons amplify mistakes, and with roughly $310 of duty inside one they are expensive mistakes.
Flavour note
Blended menthol gives the same flavour in every cigarette; a capsule lets you decide per stick. Neither lowers the harm, and Australian packs cannot suggest otherwise.
Before you order — four checks that never change
- Price against the excise floor. Duty is $1.55274 a stick from 1 September 2026 — about $31 in a 20-pack and $310 in a carton. Change one variable at a time and buy packs, not cartons, while testing.
- The pack in the photo. Legal Australian stock is drab brown (Pantone 448C) with graphic warnings covering at least 75% of the front and 90% of the back — no logos, no brand artwork.
- Age and delivery. Distance sellers must verify you are 18 or over, and somebody who can sign and show ID has to be at the address. Lockers and unstaffed addresses can be refused.
- State rules. South Australia prohibits mail and online tobacco orders outright; everywhere else requires an age-verification system.
