The checks we run on every tobacco order

  • Age verification. You must be 18 or over, and delivery requires an adult who can show ID at the address.
  • Duty-paid stock only. Everything we sell carries Australian duty — $1.55274 per stick.
  • Compliant packaging. Legal Australian packs are drab brown with graphic health warnings covering at least 75% of the front and 90% of the back.
  • Invoice on every purchase. You get a GST tax invoice, so your purchase is traceable.

How delivery works

Orders ship tracked, and somebody who can sign for the parcel must be at the address. Parcel lockers generally cannot be used for tobacco because no one can verify age at a locker. If you order mid-week with someone home, delivery is usually straightforward; regional and remote addresses take longer, and the wet season slows Top End freight.

We do not ship tobacco to South Australia. That is not a policy choice — state law prohibits tobacco sales by mail, phone, fax, email or internet to SA addresses, and other states require age verification for distance sales.

What we will never do

We will not sell you untaxed tobacco, describe a shipment as “discreet” to bypass carrier rules, or promise delivery without an age check. Those practices are how grey-market sellers operate, and they end badly for buyers — seized parcels, no invoice, no recourse.

If you are unsure whether a listing you have seen elsewhere is lawful, our four-test scam check takes two minutes and rules out almost every bad actor: price against the duty floor, pack photos, payment method and paperwork.

Questions we get asked most

  • “Is buying tobacco online legal in Australia?” Yes, with age verification — except in South Australia, where distance sales are prohibited.
  • “Why can’t you ship to SA?” Because state law bans it, regardless of who is selling.
  • “Do you sell single cigarettes?” No. Single-cigarette sales are illegal everywhere in Australia.
  • “Why is the price what it is?” Because excise is most of it — about $31 in a 20-pack, about $310 in a carton.

Before you order — four checks that never change

  1. Price against the excise floor. Duty is $1.55274 a stick from 1 September 2026 — about $31 in a 20-pack and $310 in a carton. Transparency is the difference: everything we sell is duty-paid, age-checked and invoiced.
  2. The pack in the photo. Legal Australian stock is drab brown (Pantone 448C) with graphic warnings covering at least 75% of the front and 90% of the back — no logos, no brand artwork.
  3. Age and delivery. Distance sellers must verify you are 18 or over, and somebody who can sign and show ID has to be at the address. Lockers and unstaffed addresses can be refused.
  4. State rules. South Australia prohibits mail and online tobacco orders outright; everywhere else requires an age-verification system.
